Born
and brought up in Calcutta and that where she completed her
schooling. After which she moved along with her parents to Mumbai,
and continued her studies here. But after her H.S.C she quit,
as she got kind of fed up. Actually she started modeling during
her college days itself. She admits that her parents got damn
bugged since she quit studies halfway through. And she still
keeps telling then that she will complete her graduation through
correspondence.
How
did Rima get a break in modeling? One of her friend worked
in an advertising agency close to her home. He would always
tell her to give modeling a shot. That's hen guys spotted
her and asked her if she would like to model. That's how modeling
began.
Nivea, Electrolux, Clinic Hair Oil, Borosoft are few of 35
ads she did. Still hardly people know about her, that's because
she likes to keep a low profile. But isn't it wrong to keep
a low profile when you are in showbiz?
And
having done a good number of ads she felt she was confident
enough to attempt films, as she is quite comfortable in front
of camera.
Venus was looking for a new girl to star opposite Fardeen
Khan in their film, "Hum ho Gaye aap Ke" They heard
about Raima as her South film "chitram" was just
released. So they called her over to their office, and then
she signed for the movie "Hum Ho Gaye Aap Ke" and
later she signed for "Jaal - The Trap, the cast boasts
of senior and mush experienced actors like Sunny Deol, Jackie
Shroof and tabu.
