• It is always advisable to get your furniture done by a carpenter as per your or your designer’s ideas. if you happen to buy ready made furniture then it is difficult to get what “you” always wanted, also the thought process suffers and you accept what is presented.
• Furniture like the TV unit and side tables which are not put to use that often can be bought from ready made furniture market.
• For wardrobe use the plywood which has the makers seal on it and while designing furniture for the kitchen it is advisable to use marine ply which is water proof and a little expensive than the ordinary ply.
• The common mistakes which the buyer makes is when the seller is able to push cheap quality wood, these are mostly termed as “Malaysian Wood”, “Rubber Wood” etc. “Sagwaan” is an ideal wood type to do furniture.
• The finishing mostly relays on the design and colour of the “Sanmaika” – Common mistakes made here are by choosing the same with a “Piece of Shade” shown by the seller, Later to realize that the sheet looks different than the shade. Before buying the “Sanmaika” by judging on the piece, it is advisable to check out the entire sheet as the shades may differ.

Creativity and Visualization plays a vital role while selecting furniture - as what is the “best” in market might not be what you want to live with, hence always buy and have furniture which fits the living style, the needs and the culture.
