Mouth and Tongne Wounds
A gargle with a mixture of a little glycerine with a small quantity of rose-water or ordinary water will keep your mouth fresh and prevents mouth dryness. Eating of raw leaves of tulasi will cure wounds inside mouth, on the tongue and on the lips.
In the case of wounds inside the mouth and tongue, mix coriander powder with a little honey and chew it little by little. Gargle the mouth with the decoction prepared out of the ‘un-ripe fruits of country fig for the cure of mouth wounds)
Eating of green ginger mixed with jaggery will cure ailments of the tongue and wounds inside the mouth. Foul smell coming out of the mouth can be stopped by gargling with the decoction (kasaya) prepared out of tulasi leaves.
In the case of tongue coating or.split fiiS’ires in the tongue, gargle with a solution of water and alum. Sore tongue and mouth may be alleviated by applying glycerine.
